Brett Favre Retires

In a major NFL development today, Green Bay QB Brett Favre announces his retirement from football. The popular QB played for 17 seasons in the NFL and put up impressive numbers with 442 touchdowns and 61,655 passing yards during his prolific career.

Favre was initially drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in 1991 before being traded to the Green Bay Packers the following year. Well known for his toughness and winning spirit Brett Favre started every game for the Packers setting an NFL record.

His achievements in the NFL are impressive with a startling amount of records including the most career TD’s thrown and most career victories. Brett Favre won Super Bowl XXXI and had a fantastic come back last year leading the Packers to the playoffs.
