The Washington Redskins Coach Joe Gibbs retires a second time

The Washington Redskins head coach Joe Gibbs decides to step down a second time to dedicate more time to his family. It was an emotional 4th year for Gibbs which included the murder of saftey Sean Taylor. Coach Gibbs signed a 5-year deal worth $27.5 million to come back and coachthe Washington Redskins. Gibbs will come back to help the Redskins as an “adviser”. The Redskings have won 3 Championships under Gibbs who posted an impressive 154-94 record. Joe Gibbs” final coaching career totals: 171-101, including 17-7 in the post season. He has a career .629 winning percentage ranking him 3rd all time behind George Halas and Don Shula among head coaches with more than 125 career wins.
